Speaking Engagement Topics

Substance Abuse

Perhaps one of the most talked about topics today … DRUGS.  This scourge is running rampant especially among our youth.  It has to stop, the word must get out because it’s killing them.

Dewey discusses the use of STEROIDS, ALCOHOL and MARIJUANA.  His qualifications are first hand, having experienced most of them personally and seeing the horrendous results among some of his closest colleagues.  He himself sought help from the Donwood Institute for substance and alcohol abuse.  Now, with the support of good friends and the grace of God, he is on the long road of recovery.  This experience has helped him immensely in his never-ending task of researching the reasons people continue to abuse themselves in this manner.

Health and fitness

This is a topic very close to Dewey’s heart, especially since he owned and operated a very successful gym and fitness center in Burlington for many years.  Since he was a youngster Dewey has always been interested in sports and has worked religiously keeping his body in top physical shape in order to compete with the best.  Naturally, in the world of professional wrestling you have to be in the peak of condition in order to be able to be able to keep up with the rigorous demands of, not only wrestling every night in different cities but, all the traveling as well.

Dewey can pass on the benefits of all his experience to anyone who is interested in having a having a healthy body, which in turn leads to a healthy mind.

This subject is a must, especially for our young people.

Professional Wrestling

Probably the most popular with all audiences, young and old.  Professional wrestling is rough, tough, hilarious and sometimes sad, because it’s much like life itself, good and bad.

Dewey will discuss his career, which spans over 44 years, and talk about the characters he has met, as well as the characters he has been himself.  The bad guys, the good guys, the highs and the lows of life on the circuit.

Having traveled all over Canada, United States, Japan, Australia, Israel, Puerto Rico and just about everywhere else professional wrestling is popular, he gives his audiences a first hand account of his person experiences in dealing with different people and cultures as well as customs, in the many countries his profession has taken him.

This topic always brings a standing ovation from the audience, they love it.

Career Goal

It has always been my desire to work with young people by establishing a setting which will enhance their opportunities to develop self-esteem and self worth through guidance, support and respect.

As the YMCA camp counselor, or simply working with the legendary Whipper Billy Watson on the East Seals Campaign for crippled children, I have always enjoyed communicating with youngsters.  My visits to hospitals have been most rewarding because I sense a deep appreciation by the kids that someone took the time to show them some affection and attention.  After all, the key to any type of rehabilitation for young people, is to demonstrate care and love for them.

Having spent 44 years as a professional wrestler, and having finally reached the pinnacle, I lost everything through the use of drugs, steroids and alcohol.  Only with the love of my wife and family and friends, plus my return to Hope and Faith, did I regain my health, sanity and dignity.

WITH GUIDANCE, AND A RENEWED SENSE OF WORTH, I KNOW I HAVE A POWERFUL STORY TO TELL OUR YOUTH AND THEIR PARENTS, OR ANYONE ELSE WHO IS WILLING TO LISTEN.  I HOPE MY STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED TO ME, WILL HAVE A LASTING IMPACT ON THOSE WHO TRY TO LIVE THEIR LIVES DEPENDANT ON SUBSTANCE, BE IT DRUGS, ALCOHOL, OR IN THE CASE OF YOUNG HOPEFUL ATHLETES, TRYING TO ENHANCE THEIR TRAINING WITH THE USE OF STEROIDS.

IF WE AS PARENTS, REALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO OUR CHILDREN AND OUR COUNTRY, THEN WE HAD BETTER BECOME ACTIVE, NOW.

THAT IS WHY I HAVE MADE MYSELF AVAILABLE TO SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AT SERVICE CLUBS, CHURCHES, POLICE SEMINARS, YOUTH GROUPS ECT.

Let me give everyone the facts….. IT ISN'T WORTH IT!
